Peter Zajaček is a young musician and guitarist, a student of music theory and composition at Academy of Performing Arts. His main focus is guitar playing and he is a member of various projects.
Peter has been a member of the most well-known Slovak reggae music band Medial Banana, one of the most popular Slovak band formations performing at the biggest Slovak music festivals such as Pohoda, Grape or Uprising (one of the most famous European reggae festivals). The band also performs at foreign festivals such as Sziget, Mighty Sound or Overjam.
Peter’s jazz-rock trio Frankie Kimono does not focus on a single genre. It connects various genres
and performs in music clubs. Peter devotes his solo work to a music from a “more classical“ environment and he also composes for various instrument groups. Additionally he is a member of theatre music orchestra in a theatre Nova Scena in Bratislava.
He will perform some of his compositions from his fresh debut album!

Headmovers

The band has released the EP “Move Ahead”, produced by Eugene Vizváry (known by collaborations with Anita Soul, Rytmus, Martin Valihora, as well as his own compositions). The group was nominated for Radiohead Awards 2017 in the category “Discovery of the year” and also won the competition Jazz Startup 2017 in the category of “studio performance”. The band has had many successful concerts and played festivals in several cities in Slovakia. Last year, they returned from a successful Belgian tour, where they played a series of concerts in various cities. “It’s been a tough year for music and art industry, therefore, we appreciate the opportunity to play IBB Sessions even more.”
