FAQ

Who we are?

In Between Books Sessions is a musical project launched in 2017 in Bratislava, Slovakia. The aim of the project is to showcase talented artists, from Slovakia and abroad, targeting the widest spread of audience as possible, in form of musical sessions.

How does it work?

The IBBS team browses the musical scene, looking for exciting musical acts and giving them an opportunity to perform in a non-traditional and creative environment. The sessions take place in an intimate setting of the Eleven Books & Coffee bookshop on Baštová Street roughly every second week. The audience capacity of the bookshop is usually limited to 20 people.

What do we offer?

Our goal is to break the barriers between the performers and the audience members and to create a unique musical experience within a community of open-minded individuals.

We provide the performing artists with quality video footage from the session, giving them full permission to use it for promotion. IBB sessions will also promote their appearance via social media (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube).

Last, but not least, In Between Books sessions offers an unforgettable experience for the musicians as well as for the audience.

For an artists from abroad we can also provide accommodation for a one night in a hotel after a gig.

How we do that?

For each recording we are using two cameras – one static and one dynamic. We have also technique equipment for a sound recording – microphones, stands and cables. After concert we’re editing whole material, which means we’ll cut it,  do a colour grading, make a subtitles and our sound engineer will mix whole recording.
